Loaded Boards has recently launched its new Fathom LDP bracket setup. It’s now available for ordering worldwide.
The Loaded Fathom is a specialized longboard designed for serious distance skating and commuting, featuring a unique bracket setup called the Loaded Zee Brackets.
It caters to fitness enthusiasts, commuters, and long-distance skaters seeking a high-performance board for their journeys.
The setup offers a low, double-drop platform, huge wheel clearance, and high-performance components for optimal speed, stability, and comfort during long-distance rides.
The Fathom is the result of Loaded’s collaboration with G/Bomb, the “King of brackets”. The board aims to provide a plug-and-play solution for distance skaters, eliminating the need for complicated configurations and tuning.
The Loaded Fathom features a symmetrical double-drop bracket setup for effortless and high-performance pushing, as opposed to directional bracket setups designed primarily for pumping.
The brackets accommodate very large wheels, up to 105mm, without the need for risers, allowing for very high ride speeds and roll times for fitness training and skogging, long-distance skate travel, and daily commuting.
The Fathom is compact and stowable, suitable for daily commuting. It has a modular design for easy travel packing and easy component swapping.
The Fathom’s specialized bracket setup offers improved flex distribution for greater strength and vibration damping. However, the board may not be ideal for all-around city slashing or for distance pumping. It may also be too low riding for some really bumpy terrain.
The Loaded Fathom’s riding experience is described as super smooth, nimble, highly stable, with the ability to climb over all sorts of road obstacles, including curbs when set up with the Dad Bods. The deck is praised for its comfortable pushing.
The Loaded Fathom is priced reasonably compared to other performance bracket setups on the market. It comes stock with narrower, highly responsive 150mm Paris V2 trucks, and either the 105mm Dad Bods or 85mm Caguamas wheels.
