Every season, Carver introduces new innovative deck models with original templates and molds. This year, they pushed the boundaries further.
Recognizing the limitations of wood deck construction, including restricted compound-curve potential, Carver created a deck from Nylon 6, a material crafted from 100% recycled nylon and plastic sourced from discarded ocean fishing nets.
Nylon 6 has its specific structural properties, high mechanical strength, a lightweight nature, and mechanical dampening qualities.
No ordinary plastic possesses these critical characteristics, which allow it to flex and feel organic like wood.
The Ghostnet was born, a best-in-breed surf skate deck featuring concave, nose, tail kick, and precisely placed wheel wells. The double-kick mold is contoured for maximum carving control.

Here are the specs for the complete:
Length | 31″ |
Width | 10 1/8″ |
Wheelbase | 16 1/2″ |
Trucks | CX or C7 |
Wheels | 65 MM Slicks Black 83A |
Bearings | Built-In |
Grip Tape | Full deck inset grip tape |
Price | $250 (CX) – $272 (C7) |
The deck can also run bigger wheels, including the 68mm Mag, 69mm Concave, and 70mm Mag wheels.

The Ghosnet has a more pronounced concave than most other carvers. The long 16.5″ wheelbase makes it super stable at speed and gives it great momentum for pumping.
The wide (10+”) outline combined with the concave gives you great confidence for radical slashing in a bowl (e.g. with the CX) or for drawing beautiful flowing surf lines with the C7.
