Construction
The Landyachtz The Clark 40″ is built to be both durable and responsive. It uses 8 plies of Canadian Maple so it can withstand heavy use.
This construction also makes the board stiff enough to handle high speeds and big impacts, such as landing tricks or riding on rough terrain.
The choice of Canadian Maple not only contributes to the board’s longevity but also provides a consistent performance across different skating styles.
The stiffness of the board is rated at 3 out of 10, which means it’s on the firmer side. This lower flex rating results in increased stability when skating fast or throwing technical maneuvers.
Shape
The Clark has an asymmetrical dual kick outline with a steeper nose compared to the tail, in the style of a traditional street deck. This design helps in performing street tricks, and in directional riding at high speeds.

The board features double kicks for tricks, sharp turns and ollies, skatepark and urban riding.
The rocker lowers your center of gravity resulting in good stability e.g. for sliding and high-speed downhill runs.
The concave is mellow and simple, similar to that of a street deck. This design choice ensures comfort during long rides and during trick landings, while still providing enough grip for aggressive downhill and freeride skating.
The board has wheel wells and slight flares near the wheels to prevent wheel bite in sharp turns including with larger wheels.
Setup
The Clark comes with 130mm Polar Bear trucks ideal for both technical street skating and smoother rides in skate parks.
That said, the board is equally capable on TKP and RKP trucks. There are two wheelbase options at the back to make sure the tail is super functional and poppy on either Polar Bears or Grizzlies.
It rolls on 63mm 78a Fatty Hawgs wheels, larger and softer than typical street wheels, offering a plush ride that can smoothly handle a variety of surfaces from rough asphalt to smoother park terrains.
The softness of the wheels ensures good grip and speed control, which is essential for both cruising and performing slides.
This combination of Polar Bear trucks and Fatty Hawgs wheels makes The Clark ready for any type of terrain right out of the box.
The combo is adaptable to your riding style and preferences – whether you’re looking to cruise, carve, ride fast, or throw tricks in or out of the park.

Final remarks
After over a year of development, the result is a board that not only meets the rigorous demands of a professional skater but also resonates with the everyday skater looking for a durable, all-encompassing setup.
Clark’s favorite aspect of the design is the convenience of having just one setup for going anywhere. The board’s can easily tossed be in a car or carried on a plane, and is ready to skate whatever terrain is available at the destination.
