The Lib Tech “Lib Rig” is a result of the extensive experience of pro snowboarder Austen Sweetin. He rigorously tested various boards across a broad range of conditions, particularly deep powder. He fine-tuned his favorite features to craft an exceptional board for both resort and backcountry.

The board design features a large, buoyant nose and a versatile tail that performs well even when riding switch. Its deep sidecuts prevent toe drag, enhancing maneuverability, while its mild taper and optimized waist widths ensure a responsive ride without sacrificing stability.

The Lib Rig is built on the robust and reliable OP chassis and complemented by a durable and fast sintered base that holds wax well, resulting in smoother rides.

This offers an exceptional blend of edge hold, stability at high speeds, and responsive control for freestyle maneuvers in powder and varied terrain.
The core construction includes 75% Aspen and 25% Paulownia for a balance of lightness, environmental friendliness, and strength.
For laminates, the bi-axial layer provides snap and reduces chatter, whereas the tri-axial layer amplifies responsiveness and dampens vibrations for a smooth and stable ride. The board’s top sheet is made from sublimated polyester with cool graphics.
The base of the Lib Rig is a sintered knife-cut type known for durability and wax retention. Unique to Lib Tech boards is the Magne-Traction technology, with multiple contact points along the edges for superior grip on hardpack and ice.
Internally, birch sidewalls add resilience and pop, while the ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) sintered sidewalls enhance durability and rider control.
