Carver New Zapp Series Mini Surf Skates

Carver New Zapp Series Mini Surf Skates

Carver has released a new line of surf skates called the Zapp Series Minis, specifically designed for kids and lighter riders.

Carver’s new mini series has been designed to fit the younger and lighter rider looking for the same high-performance Carver experience in a board scaled down to their site.

Mini surf skates are lower to the ground and with softer bushings to lower the rail resistance so it takes less weight and effort to carve a turn.

These boards come in sizes from 25 to 28 inches, so they’re just the right fit for younger skaters. They feature cool and bright designs that stand out.

The Zapp Series Minis are surf skateboards that give kids a super smooth ride. They’re made to move fast and make turning easy, so kids can zip around corners and dodge stuff like a pro.

These boards are great for quick moves and don’t need a lot of work to steer, which is perfect for kids just getting the hang of surf skating, as well as kids who can already rip.

Carver’s new Minis are made just right for kids. The two smallest deck sizes are pressed in 6-ply maple to scale them down to grom weight, making them light and easy for kids to control.

The 2 larger deck sizes (27″ & 28″) are pressed in standard 7-ply maple also great for the full-sized rider – strong enough for bigger kids or even adults who want to skate like the youngsters.

The right board size allows younger riders to ride comfortably and learn surf turns and maneuvers faster.

Zapp Series Mini setup

The Zapp Series Minis are engineered with a low deck height, significantly reducing the center of gravity for enhanced stability and less push effort required. This design is ideal for executing tight, snappy turns and maintaining momentum.

The trucks are fitted with softer bushings, providing a responsive and forgiving ride characteristic that mimics the fluid feel of carving a wave.

This setup allows for aggressive pumping and smooth transitions, appealing to riders who want to bring that surf-style performance to the pavement.

Carver C5 trucks

The Minis come equipped with low-profile C5 truck sets. These are fitted with Carver bushings, 81a Soft on the smaller (25″ and 26″) boards and 84a Medium on the larger (27″ & 28″) ones.

These trucks have a lower profile and sit closer to the pavement compared to typical surf skates. This provides a stable platform for young riders to push off from and maintain balance in extreme surf turns.

Carver bushings

The trucks are paired with specially designed Carver bushings. On the smaller boards, 25″ and 26″ in length, the bushings are 81a soft. Softer bushings allow for easier turning and smoother carving, suited for lighter riders who don’t need as much force in turns.

The larger boards, 27″ and 28″, come with 84a medium bushings. These are slightly harder, offering a bit more resistance which is ideal for heavier or more aggressive riders.

Wheels

Every skateboard in the Zapp Series Mini lineup is equipped with 60mm Roundhouse wheels with an 81a duro. The wheels are not too hard nor too soft and provide a balanced blend of grip and durability.

The Roundhouse are big enough to roll smoothly over cracks and pebbles but still give the board a responsive feel for sharp turns and tricks. They handle the wear and tear of regular skating, making them a reliable choice for kids who are serious about their riding.

Master Blaster Mini 25″

The Master Blaster Mini is a compact 25″ surfskate designed for a real surf skate experience for the younger crowd.

The 13.75″ wheelbase makes the board nimble with quick, responsive turns.

The low-profile C5 trucks keep the board close to the ground making surf pumping and throwing the tail easier for shorter and lighter riders.

The 81a soft Carver bushings reduce resistance when you’re carving, so you don’t need to push as hard to make tight turns.

The 60mm, 81a Roundhouse wheels make for a smooth ride with just enough grip.

Lazer Fazer Mini 26″

The Lazer Fazer Mini is a cool 26″-inch” skateboard designed for kids slightly bigger who want to skate with ease.

This board is also made with 6 layers of maple wood, so it’s light but still strong.

Here again, the soft bushings mean kids can turn and twist without having to lean down too much. The 60mm wheels are soft enough for a smooth ride.

The Lazer Fazer has a wide back end and a round front, making it stable and fun to ride and easy to throw the tail on.

With its cool aqua wheels and printed grip tape, this skateboard will be one that kids remember as their favorite.

Zapper Snapper Mini 27″

The Zapper Snapper Mini is 27″ long, suitable for both kids and adults. The longer wheelbase of 14.5″ allows for a slightly more stable ride with more drawn-out turns.

This surf skate is sturdy with a 7-ply construction, ready to support bigger riders.

The low-riding C5 trucks keep it low to the ground. The medium 84a Carver bushings are a bit firmer, perfect for riders who need more support when they’re carving turns.

The 60mm, 81a Black Mag wheels have a good mix of speed and grip.

The Zapper Snapper Mini isn’t just for kids; it’s sturdy and versatile enough for parents too. So, dads can join in on the fun and experience the thrill of this skateboard’s smooth ride and quick surf turns – as long as the kids are willing to share.

Rail Blazer Mini 28″

The Rail Blazer Mini at 28″ is the largest in the Zapp Series, offering a substantial platform for various rider sizes. The generous 15″ wheelbase provides a stable foundation for both cruising and aggressive riding, catering to a wide range of surf skaters.

Like the previous models, the Rail Blazer mini surf skate is mounted on precise C5 trucks renowned for their low height and stability, resulting in effortless push-off and effective pumping and slashing.

The 84a medium Carver bushings provide a nice balance of flexibility and firmness, allowing for fluid turns with minimal force for bigger riders and facilitating radical surf maneuvers.

With its robust 7-ply maple construction, this board can easily support heavier riders, ensuring durability.

The 60mm White Mag wheels with an 81a durometer offer a smooth glide and solid grip in extreme surf turns.
