Earlier this year, Arbor release 3 really cool mini-cruisers with sizes ranging from 23+” to 29″ (nano, micro, mini). the 29″ Hawkshaw is a slick and stylish mini-pintail.
The 3 Micron boards are characterized by their retro (1970s) surf-style shapes. Their small sizes make them ultra portable, stashable, and city and sidewalk friendly.
As always with Arbor, these cruisers deliver solid performance and comfort – super smooth, stable, and a delight to ride.
Here’s a bit more detail:
Bogart Micron 23.75″

Shape | Classic cruiser shape (nano size), functional kick, tiny nose kick |
Size | 23.75″ x 6.75″ |
Wheelbase | 14″ |
Concave | Subtle concave, slight camber |
Trucks | Arbor HBP 3.25″ street trucks |
Wheels | Arbor Easy Rider Bogart 61mm 78A |
The Bogart Micron is a Penny-size deck. It has a surfboard shape with a tapered rear. It offers a small but functional kicktail and a rounded nose (no nose kick).
The nano-cruiser has a nice wheelbase, comparable to a traditional street deck, offering great stability for such a tiny deck!
This board ships with 61mm wheels, quite large for the deck size. The deck is designed to fit the 3.25″ street trucks and the big wheels wheelbite-free, thanks to the slight wheel flares.
The Bogart Micron is a super compact, fantastic little board to carry around just about everywhere. It provides an astonishingly smooth and comfy ride.
The mellow kicktail gives you welcome extra foot room as well as snappiness in turns.
Be aware that riders with bigger feet may get some foot rub though due to the tiny size.

Pivot Micron 26″

Shape | Rockered surfboard shape, wide square kick, no nose |
Size | 26″ x 7.50″ |
Wheelbase | 15″ |
Concave | Flat concave, slight rocker |
Trucks | Arbor HBP 4.25″ street trucks |
Wheels | Arbor Easy Rider Bogart 61mm 78A |
The Pivot Micron micro-cruiser is a flat, square tailed, surfboard-like retro shape.
It can also be stashed in a backpack, a locker, etc.
It has an impressive 15″ wheelbase for its size, giving it astonishing stability and commuting comfort.
The flat deck and tail gives you plenty of foot space, with a slight rocker providing nice foothold for everyday city cruising.

Hawkshaw Micron 29″

Shape | Pintail shape, flat kick, no nose |
Size | 29″ x 7.25″ |
Wheelbase | 19.25″ |
Concave | Flat concave |
Trucks | Arbor HBP 4.25″ street trucks |
Wheels | Arbor Easy Rider Bogart 61mm 78A |
The Hawshaw is a narrow “pintail” shape in miniature size, albeit with a small diamond tail instead of the classic pin !
At 29″ in length, this pintail is still super portable and stashable for everyday commuting, school, work, shopping etc.
This board has the longest wheelbase of the three (19+”) making it extremely stable for longer urban rides and fun carving sessions. It’s a great board for commuting and medium distance cruising.
The Hawkshaw has a flat deck (no real concave or rocker to speak of) for freedom of movement and retro style riding.
The small (flat) kicks stick provides a bit of maneuverability for those tight sidewalk corners – although popping may be a bit of a long shot.
In short, this board is great for stylish carving and cruising around the neighborhood and in the park.
