Canada is well known as one of the top rated international destinations for boarding and the consistent snowfall it enjoys has a lot to do with this perception. With an average maximum snow depth of around a metre (for the entire country!), you can understand why Canada is renowned for it’s wealth of powder riding.
Although the majority of Canada is predominantly English speaking, it has a very large French speaking population, mostly living in Quebec, and surrounding east coast areas.
The currency in Canada is the Canadian Dollar (C$), which is usually worth a bit less than the US equivalent.
Visitors from some countries will not need a visa to enter Canada, but always check well in advance of your trip. You can find out which countries need a visa here.
